Why people switch to Iris.

More design choices, every page tested before you see it, code you keep and a bill that can be zero. Every fact about the others comes from their own public pages, dated.

"Not described" means we found nothing about it on the company's own public pages; it does not prove the feature is missing. Wix figure: Light billed yearly at its list price ($17 a month before tax). On 27 October Wix also had a time-limited offer: Core at half price ($14.50 a month) for the first yearly term, which makes Core $174 for the first year while it lasts. Lovable: Pro billed yearly. Base44: Starter billed yearly. Iris: $0 on your own PC, $8 for a one-site top-up or $19 for one Starter month, plus a domain bought separately.

Each product compared

Iris and Wix

Wix is the largest website builder, with an AI builder (Harmony) and an AI agent (Aria). Plans from $17 a month billed yearly; selling needs Core ($29, or $14.50 in the first year under an offer running on 27 October).

Why Iris is better

Every site is designed from scratch with its own Design DNA, not restyled from a template. Each build is tested in a real browser at seven screen sizes and repaired, with a report you can download. You own the code and host it anywhere; Wix has no code export. No monthly rent to keep a site online.

Iris and Lovable

Lovable turns prompts into web apps and sites. Pro is $25 a month for 100 credits; a landing page with images is about 2 credits and a change 0.5 to 1.2.

Why Iris is better

Browser testing and repairs are part of every build, not prompts you pay for one by one; Lovable charges credits for fixes. 694 design choices before building against up to four design questions. Free unlimited building on your own PC, and credits roll over 3 months instead of 2. Stores, bookings, memberships, languages and a launch kit come built in.

Iris and Base44

Base44, owned by Wix, builds apps and sites from prompts. Starter is $20 a month ($16 billed yearly) for 100 message credits.

Why Iris is better

Website design depth: 694 choices and a different site every build. Every page is tested and repaired before you see it, as part of the build. Code export on every plan, including free; Base44 lists GitHub from Builder ($40 a month yearly).

Iris and Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent, by Nous Research, is a free, open-source (MIT) AI agent that remembers, learns skills and works in messaging apps. It is not a website builder. Nous Portal plans for its models are $20, $100 and $200 a month.

Why Iris is better

It is made for websites: design, writing, building, testing, repairs, editing and publishing in one app. No prompting skill needed and nothing to assemble yourself.
